European Piercers get organized!

Europe is growing closer together, and while this process is growing we, the piercers, have been disadvantaged more and more often through the changes by new EU-laws.

Unfortunately, the new rules and laws are passed by people sitting at round tables. They are unfamiliar with the subjects they decide on. This could be easily changed if experts in the field were present to advise and assist the legislator.

We, the piercers, up to date have no lobby in Europe that, according to the number of persons involved, would be even approximately qualified to get heard by the legislators.

The EAPP is taking up the challenge to play a decisive role in the future with the conception of new EU rules and laws.

We understand our assignment in a way to represent all piercers linked to our association with the legislators, and to prevent laws that make our business more difficult, more expensive or even impossible.

As a first step we were able to negotiate an outline agreement with a German insurer. This would present the possibility to include risks into the coverage that so far could not be insured (f.e. occupational liability for intimate piercings). Moreover, the participation in the outline agreement would offer special rates for several other insurances.

Also, all other relevant insurances could be offered to you privately or your business via the EAPP, within the outline agreement for our members only, up to 10% below market tariff.

Membership is possible for everyone running a registered piercing business, or who works in a piercing studio as an employee.

Within the EAPP there are no rules concerning the working method or the studio equipment, and there will be no compulsory courses.
